Thai Herbal Compress Massage
A traditional massage using steamed herbs
A traditional Thai treatment that combines Thai Massage techniques with the warmth and comfort of steamed herbal compresses.
What Is Thai Herbal Compress Massage?
Thai Herbal Compress Massage is a traditional treatment that combines Thai Massage (Nuad Boran) with Thai herbal medicine (Maw Hom) to create a deeply soothing and therapeutic experience. A blend of aromatic herbs is wrapped in muslin to form a herbal compress, which is then gently steamed to release its warmth and natural herbal essence.
The heated herbal compress is applied using a variety of techniques, including pressure, rocking, circular motions, and gentle gliding movements. Used together with traditional Thai Massage techniques, the treatment is designed to help ease tension, support circulation, and encourage deep relaxation and overall well-being.
What You Can Expect
At Thai Healing Center, Moh Puiy prepares the herbal compresses using a traditional blend of fresh and dried herbs wrapped by hand in muslin. Before your appointment, the compresses are gently warmed to release their essential oils and therapeutic warmth.
During your treatment, the herbal compresses are used together with Thai Massage techniques to help relax the body and soothe areas of tension. Because herbs are used in this treatment, please let us know if you have any allergies or sensitivities so we can help determine whether this massage is right for you.
